We have tested Windows Server 2016, Mac OS High Sierra, Kali Linux and Ubuntu using Virtual Machines like VMware and VirtualBox. But we have never tested an Android in the Android Studio. It is not like that we haven’t tested any Android on Windows OS, we have tested by using Nox, Memu Android Emulator and VMware, VirtualBox. But VMware and VirtualBox need an iso of an operating system and Nox and Memu has the android lollipop. Unfortunately, none of them has Android P, so We have decided to use and install Android P on PC, you need to install Android Studio first.

How to install android studio on Windows 10

Android Studio is a software which is built by Google Inc for testing operating systems, Apps for developers. It supports Phone, Tablet, Wear, TV’s Operating system where you can use the Android Virtual Device Manager to use them easily on Windows, Mac, and Linux. to Install and use Android Studio follow the below procedures after that Install Android P:

Step 1. Open your favorite browser and search Android Studio Download. When it appears simply download that.

Step 2. On the welcome screen, click next.

Step 3. Now you need to choose components in order to install that on the system, we will leave it as it was and click next.

Step 4. Specify and Install location and click next.

Step 5. Select the start menu folder which you want to create the programs shortcut, I will leave it as it is and click Install.

Step 6. Now you have to wait until the installation to be complete, it will take 2 minutes to install. Once the Installation Complete then click Finish.

How to Setup Android Studio?

Setting Android Studio is a little bit complicated if you have a slow internet connection. In order to setup Android Studio on your system, your internet connection must be fast because it will download more than 10GB required files. you must have at least 15 GB free storage if you are testing multiple Android Operating System, this amount of storage will increase easily.

Step 1. Once the Android Studio is installed, simply launch the program. You will be first directed the settings page, where it asks you to import the Android Studio settings which you had used before. If you haven’t used it before, simply select Do not import Settings.

Step 2. After that Android Studio is looking for needed files in order to launch the project section. First, it will look for the components of Android SDK, if it wasn’t available on your system, it will download that.

Step 3.  Now you are in the Android Studio Setup Wizard, where you to configure the startup settings for Android Studio. On the welcome screen click next.

Step 4. Choose a type of startup for Android Studio, in this case, we will simply move with the standard startup. If you want to use the custom option.

Step 5. Select a User Interface theme, we will select the Light theme, you can also choose the Dark theme too.

Step 6. In this step, your internet connection must be too fast, because Android studio is about to download the Android SDK Components. And these files will be downloaded C:userscomputernameAppDataLocalAndroidSDK

Step 7. Once you passed all of the above steps you have to verify that which these files will be downloaded. Just look at the screenshot, there you will find out what are the SDK Components, and the files size are 1.08 GB. Once you select Finish, you have to wait until all of the required settings should be downloaded.

Step 8.  Now have a look at the download process.

Create a New Project in Android Studio

Once All the SDK Components downloaded, you will be directed to the welcome window of Android Studio. it is only available for the first time when you are opening it. later when you start using it, that time you can create, import, export and more from the file menu.

Install Android P

Step 1. Once the downloading components finished, you have to create a new project where you have to test the Android P. To do that, select start a new Android Studio Project on Welcome Page of Android Studio.

Step 2. Now it will ask you to name the project. When you are done with name, domain, and location click next.

Step 3. Target your android device and click next, we recommend simply select phone and Tablet.

Step 4. Select an activity for the mobile device and click next, since we’re only showing that How to Use and install Android P on PC, we will select no activity.

Step 5. When you clicked finished, it will download the required files from internet. When we tried this option it took about 1 hour to download.

How to Create Android P Virtual Device?

Step 1. Once you created the Application or a new project, now create an android p virtual device. To do that first close the tips popup window after opening Android Studio.

Step 2. Click on the help menu> find action. After that type there AVD Manager, when it appears simply open it.

Step 3. When the Android Virtual Device Manager opens, simply select create a virtual device.

Step 4. Choose a Hardware module for the Android which you want to use. We recommend to select Google Pixel 2 XL. Remember you can also choose a resolution for the android device which you are creating.

Step 5. When you choose an Android Hardware, now you have to download a system image for the device which you want to create. Since we are about to test the android P, we recommend download install Android P.

Step 6. When the system image for the android device is downloaded the next button will also enable, so, click on that and move to the next step.

Step 9. Again for confirmation Android Studio will ask you that verify the below settings for the device which you created. If you don’t want, simply click on change and the settings, if you’re ok with this setting then click finish, and the wizard will close.

Step 10. Once the wizard closed you will be to the Android Virtual Device Manager, to start the Virtual Device which we created simply click on the play button and wait until Android Studio Starts on Android Virtual Device.

Step 11. Now you can have a look at the screen of Android P here in Windows 10.
